Our 4th of July Local Food Challenge is right around the corner! June is nearing an end and it'll be the 4th of July before we know it. Our Local Food-South Central would like to challenge you to buy and prepare locally produced food for at least one of your holiday meals throughout the weekend.

What to Do: Take pictures of your local food you've prepared. If you're a Facebook user, you can "like" our page, Our Local Food-South Central Kansas, then upload photos to one of your own albums and tag us in those photos. You can also visit our page, click Photo, and Upload a Photo, to post photos on our wall. If you're not on Facebook, email your photos to southcentral.olf@gmail.com. If you have recipes you'd like to share, visit the OLF Facebook page and post them on our wall or email them to the above email address.

                 Sharing your pictures and recipes will enter you in a drawing to win prizes! 

Get Ready for 4th of July Local Food Challenge!

It's hard to believe that the 4th of July is just right around the corner! This year while planning your holiday events, pencil in the Our Local Food - South Central 4th of July Local Food Challenge. Everyone knows that no 4th of July holiday is complete without friends, fireworks, and most importantly, good food! While shopping for your July 4th weekend picnic or outing, OLF-SC challenges you to pick up a few tasty items from Our Local Food -South Central Members! You can find a directory of our members on our blog at ourlocalfoodsouthcentral.blogspot.com.

Send us recipes and pictures of your local food experience on Facebook, Twitter, or email and you will be entered into a drawing to win some fun local food prizes! Recipes will be collected and compiled into an Our Local Food - South Central eBook that will be available FREE to anyone who signs up to receive our e-newsletter.  To sign up for the e-newsletter, click our "Send Me Tasty Updates" link to the left or on Facebook.
